PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar arrested on charges of land grabbing

PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar was arrested outside the Supreme Court Lahore registry on Tuesday over his alleged involvement in a case of illegal occupation of land.
A first information report registered with the Nawab Town police by British resident Muhammad Ali Zafar said that a few years earlier, he had bought 34 marlas land situated across from his residence in the Sultanpura area.
The then-owner Tariq Mahmood had demarcated the land in his presence, Zafar stated in the FIR, adding that Khokhar Palace, the MNA's residence, had since been built on his land.
The FIR said that the chief justice had directed those with complaints pertaining to land grabbing to file a case with police, and asked for action to be taken against Khokhar.
Zafar granted one Fayyaz Ahmad the authority to fight the case on his behalf, as he had been residing in London for the last 20 years.
Khokhar was taken into custody by police as he was exiting the Supreme Court today.

Every inch of land stolen and every penny of looted money must be recovered and the thieves accorded exemplary punishment. No one should b given a free pass even if the land usurped is for religious purposes such as mosques, churches, temples & synagogues. They should either relinquish the occupied space or should pay the exact current market price.

NS built his palace in Jatti Umra on 800 kanals, his disciple built Khokhar Palace on 200 kanals. Leadership is to be blamed.
Infact I honestly believe Supreme Court should most firmly restrict size of houses any where in Pakistan to a maximum of ONE KANAL. The urge to impress with palatial houses using all means will be eliminated.

Mr. Afzal Khokhar belong to PMLN. So it is enough evidence that he shall be punished, his seat in assembly shall be grabbed, and he shall be given a degree of "Na-Ahli" for life. This is justice of New Pakistan

MR Chief Justice, Put these Khokhar guys in jail for good until grabbed properties are given to their rightful owners. Court should confiscate Khokhar brothers properties and auction them off. these land grabber should rot in jail.

Everyone thinks $$ grow on trees in the West and that WE the expatriates have got it easy. Our properties aren't safe, we with dual nationalities are considered "spies" and not trusted for Govt offices but till now the only money going around here and running the government was from expatriots!
Good decision but I am not sure if all expatriates would have this kind of "safarish"!
