QUETTA: A tribal elder and his two security guards were wounded in a blast in Chaman on Wednesday, police said. The improvised explosive device (IED) was planted in the Boghara area of the town situated at the Pak-Afghan border.

Unidentified attackers detonated the device with a remote control as soon as Haji Bawal Khan Ashayzai along with his guards passed through the area.

Police shifted the injured to District Hospital Chaman.

Police started investigations and the bomb disposal squad collected evidence from the blast site.
