KARACHI: After failing to make any impact in the team event, Pakistani cueists opened their campaign on winning note in the IBSF 6-Reds Snooker Champ­ionship in the Egyptian city of Marsa Alam on Monday.

According to results made available here, former national champion Moha­mmad Bilal notched up 4-1 victory over Indian Sparsh Pherwani the scores being 10-39, 68-0, 58-0, 49-0, 60-22.

Mohammad Majid Ali the other Pakistani contestant blanked Egyptian Hazem Farid straight 42-22, 47-0, 57-1, 56-0.

Results:

Mohammad Bilal bt Sparsh Pherwani (India) 4-1 (10-39, 68-0, 58-0, 49-0, 60-22); Mohammad Majid Ali bt Hazem Farid (Egypt) 4-0 (42-22, 47-0, 57-1, 56-0).
