Kartarpur border

Published December 15, 2018

PAKISTAN has made a magnanimous gesture by deciding to open the Kartarpur crossing and facilitating the Sikh community to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. New Delhi needs to understand that peace in the subcontinent is in the interests of both countries, more so India as it has much to gain.

The gesture of friendship should be welcomed sincerely on both sides and all quarters should put in extra effort to bring prosperity to South Asia, which is home to more than one-fifth of mankind. Peace will prove to be a blessing to both countries and in future similar facilitation may be established for Hindu pilgrims as well.
