THIS is about Tharparkar district, a most remote and draught-affected area in Pakistan. The Pakistan Railways should start a broad-guage service from Mirpukhas to Mithi via Digree and Naukot.

This is needed because during draught about 60pc of Tharis migrate to barrage areas of Sindh and lower Punjab. The rail service will be an ideal and fruitful source of communication for them. The prime minister should look into the matter.
