DERA GHAZI KHAN: A personnel of Border Military Police was martyred while a terrorist was killed and two rangers officials were injured in two attacks by terrorists in tribal area of DG Khan on Thursday.

A press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations said the terrorist was killed while another injured in an exchange of fire with security forces. The exchange of fire took place when terrorists fired on a recce patrol of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab). Two security personnel Col Ayub and Sepoy Rehan were injured in exchange of fire.

When this correspondent contacted BMP Resaldar (Dera Ghazi Khan) Khuram Khosa, he said [BMP] Sawar Tahir Qaisrani was martyred in an attack by unidentified outlaws when a team was inspecting the area near Kaura Pass adjacent to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border to ascertain the jurisdiction of place of attack on Rangers.

Khosa said the body of Qaisrani was yet to be retrieved from the spot. He said the BMP would get a case registered with the Wahowa police station.
