ISLAMABAD: Fourth seed Russian Nadezhda Khalturina defeated third seed Mina Toglukdemir of Turkey in the women’s singles final of the ITF Junior Championship here at the PTF Complex on Friday.
The 14-year-old Khalturina convincingly won the decider 6-2, 6-1 giving no chance to her Turkish opponent.
Meanwhile, Khalturina partnering Mina defeated Meshkatulzahra Safi of Iran and Germany’s Sara Yigin 6-1, 6-2 in the women’s doubles final.
Salim Saifullah Khan, president of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, was the chief guest on the occasion.
