PESHAWAR: Power supply will remain suspended in Peshawar areas on Tuesday (today) and Thursday (Nov 15) for six hours due to maintenance work on the transmission lines.

According to a Pesco statement issued here on Monday, the consumers of Radio Pakistan, Lala, Jaghra, Chamkani, Nishterabad, Chughal Pura, NHA, Sunehri Masjid, Deans, PAF Base, Saddar Road, MES-1, 2, Old MES, Civil Aviation, Mall Road, KTH, Canal Town and University campus will face inconvenience from 9am to 3pm.

Similarly, the consumers of Muryali-1, 2, Town Hall, City-1, 2, DI Khan Cantonment, Qayum Nagar, University, Mufti Mahmood, Cantt-1, 2, Muslim Bazaar, Commissionary Bazaar, Topanwala and Degree College will be affected from 8am to 2pm.

Meanwhile, Pesco surveillance teams disconnected hundreds of illegal connections in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and also removed tempered power meters during its campaign against power theft, line losses and for recovery of dues.

It was stated that the action was taken in Swat, Swabi, Abbottabad and Mardan circles. Sixty-one illegal connections were cut in Mardan, 34 in Swabi and 46 in Swat.
