PESHAWAR: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Federal Investigation Agency and customs department on Sunday seized devices that delivered Indian content/digital TV to the households.

A joint team of the three bodies conducted raid in Kohati area of the city and seized smuggled DTH (direct to home) devices.

The action was taken on the directives of the Supreme Court.

Officials said during search of the shops and warehouses in the locality a huge number of dish antennas, LNBs and 2,580 digital receivers were recovered.

Customs authorities have registered cases under the Customs Act, whereas FIA will initiate legal proceedings against the operators under the Money Laundering Act.
