Ever wondered how the Mighty Avengers became superheroes in the first place? How did they spend their days when they didn’t have powers and how they acquired superpowers and under what circumstances?

Marvel Storybook Collection takes you down the memory lane and tells you all there is to know about the origins of these superheroes who were bestowed with powers so that they could serve the good and battle the evil.

This book’s highlights are the illustrations as they seem to come directly from the animated series and films from Marvel Comics. In fact, once you start reading about them, you might want to lie down and visualise the stories, ending the whole book in one or maximum two sittings. It is also an ideal addition to your collection as read-along books for kids because the font size is big enough for youngsters and comfortable enough for millennial who are easily convinced of the narrative, when and if provided with an illustration.

Be it the story of how billionaire Tony Stark became Iron Man and what was the reaction of the public when he ventured into the city for the first time; the one where a frail youngster named Steve Rogers was rejected by the US Army, only to be inducted for a secret experiment that saw him become Captain America; the transformation of scientist Bruce Banner into The Incredible Hulk or the ‘test’ of medical student Don Blake who later became known as The Mighty Thor; this book has all interesting stories that you may need to know ahead of next year’s Avengers movie. Black Widow and Hawkeye may not have a separate chapter regarding their origins but trust me, you will know about them in this book too!

Then there are two more chapters regarding the beginnings of the biggest superhero teams — Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. The Avengers Assemble deals with the adventure in which Loki took advantage of Hulk’s naivety and the Avengers had to pacify the Green Monster; in the story of Star-Lord and his team, you get to know the backgrounds of all five members and how they came to become the Guardians.

Furthermore, you get to know about the villains who challenge our good guys and don’t be surprised to find familiar faces on the wrong side in one of them. If you are a kid at heart or have kids at home, take them through an adventure-filled Marvel-lous weekend … you will not regret it!
