Four drown in Bolan river

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Four people who went for picnic in the Go Kurt area drowned in Bolan river over the last two days.

Levies officials said that on Sunday two youngsters while bathing in the river drifted into deep water and got swept away. People present on the spot tried to save them, but failed.

Levies personnel rushed to the area after receiving information about the incident and recovered bodies of the victims with the help of local people.

The deceased were identified as Sanan and Saleem Awan, both hailing from Quetta.

Earlier on Saturday, two people had drowned at the same spot. Their names could not be ascertained.
