ISLAMABAD: The office of the Inspector General of Police has sought the appointment of Grade 19 officer of Police Service of Pakistan Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed on the post of SSP Operations, Islamabad, sources told Dawn.

The chief commissioner Islamabad has been requested to approach Establishment Division through interior ministry to seek placement of the services of Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed PSP/BS-19 of 34 CTP at the disposal of Islamabad police for posting as SSP Operations.

The Establishment Division transferred SSP Operations Islamabad Najeebur Rehman Bugvi to Punjab on Aug 31.

SSP Bugvi was requested to work as SSP Operation Islamabad till his replacement arrives.

He was requested to supervise security measures for Defence Day and Muharram, including Ashura starting from next week.
