PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has started inquiry against administration of Doctors Colony Housing Scheme in Mardan, who in the garb of illegal housing society cheated public of their hard-earned money.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday, the owners of the housing scheme in Mardan lured general public to invest their money in the so-called scheme on the promise to allot them plots on their investment.

It was stated that the accused after lapse of considerable time did not provide plots to any of the affected people. The scrutiny of record revealed that the accused persons were operating the doctors colony scheme illegally without obtaining no-objection certificate from the authorities concerned.

The NAB advised all the affectees to approach its office at the PDA Complex, Block-III, Phase-V, Hayatabad Peshawar, for registering their claims.
