PESHAWAR: Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmed Seth on Monday visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and inspected the preparations for the presidential elections scheduled to be held on Tuesday (today).

A total of 112 lawmakers of the provincial assembly will exercise their right to franchise in the presidential elections for which polling will be held in the assembly hall.

Speaker Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani has summoned the provincial assembly for the session which will continue from 10am to 4pm, according to a statement issued here.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is the single largest party in the assembly with 74 members followed by Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal with 13 members. Similarly, Awami National Party has eight members, Pakistan Muslim League-N six, Pakistan Peoples Party five and four independents.
