LAHORE: The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT-2018) scheduled to be held on Sept 16 has been postponed due to Muharram and now will be held on Sept 23.

This was announced by University of Health Sciences (UHS) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Javed Akram at a press conference here on Friday.

He said the decision to postpone the test was made in a meeting chaired by the Punjab chief secretary, keeping in view the sanctity of Muharram.

Prof Javed Akram said the admittance cards already issued to around 65,000 candidates would remain valid for the new date. The result of the test would be declared as per the previous schedule, he said.
