CHITRAL: A married man shot himself dead inside his house, taking the toll from such deaths to six during the current week.

The latest suicide occurred in Broze village near Chitral town on Saturday afternoon.

An official of Chitral police station identified the deceased as Mohammad Ashraf Khan aged 45, who was father of three children and was reportedly addicted to drugs.

Before the occurrence, he had brought a gun from a neighbour’s house.

Earlier during the week, five persons, including two girls, committed suicide reportedly after being disheartened over less than expected marks in the intermediate examinations results.
