DGIP vacancies

Published August 11, 2018

THE Directorate-General of Immigration and Passports advertised various vacancies February 2017. Screening tests for the said positions were conducted by the Pakistan Testing Service and results were declared within a week and the merit list displayed on the PTS website.

However, six months have elapsed and no interviews have been conducted for these positions despite an office memorandum of the establishment division No F 53 /1/2008-SP, dated Oct 22, 2014 and a violation of clause (xiii) of the said memorandum by the directorate.

This clause states: “ministries/divisions/departments/attached departments/subordinate offices/ autonomous bodies/ semi-autonomous/ corporations/ authorities, etc., are required to finalise the recruitment within 60 days from the date of advertisement.”

The DGIP authorities are requested to take notice of the matter and complete the recruitment process at the earliest.
