MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the party will award its ticket to only one candidate from a constituency and all others should wholeheartedly support him.

The PTI leader said this on Saturday during his meeting with party’s five aspirants for PP-210 -- Chaudhry Asad Arain, Chaudhry Khalid Arain, Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar, Kamran Ashraf and Mian Javed Arain.

“The remaining candidates should have to follow the party’s decision and support the ticket holder for his success as only the PTI will be able to lay the foundation of new Pakistan in this way,” he said.

He said that due to a lack of experience among the PTI workers compared to those of the PPP and the PML-N the party could not make a clear position in the 2013 general election.

“Now we have trained our workers and they have been given training sessions in this regard,” he said. He said only those who would follow the party’s ideology would remain with the party.

“The one who will violate the party’s discipline will be expelled irrespective of his stature,” he warned.

He asked the five potential candidates to remain in touch with the masses and keep them ready for election by conveying the message of PTI chairman Imran Khan through a door-to-door campaign.

“But first you have to change yourself if you want to bring about change in the country. No individual will decide about the ticket but the entire parliamentary board will decide it as per already devised mechanism,” he added.

The aspirants assured Mr Qureshi that they would respect the party’s decision.
