CHARSADDA: Six people, including a police official, were killed in different incidents across Charsadda district during the last 24 hours.

In the first incident occurred in Haleemabad area of Utmanzai tehsil, an assistant sub-inspector was shot dead by rivals when he reached near his house after performing duty at Tarnab Farm police station.

The assailants managed to escape after the incident.

Kamran, a brother of the deceased ASI, lodged FIR with the city police station against accused Nawab and Shahid. An old enmity was stated to be behind the policeman’s murder.

In the second incident, a man shot dead his 16-year-old sister and her 25-year-old paramour in the name of honour in Major Hajjam village. The deceased belongs to Kalam Swat, who was presently residing in Major Hajjam village. The police lodged FIR on the complaint of brother of the deceased and started investigation.

A 55-year-old man identified as Nadir was shot dead by rivals over a property dispute in Shabqadar. The police registered FIR against accused Noor Shah, Gulraiz, Hassanullha and Adullah, on the report of Umar Khan, brother of the deceased. Police also arrested two of the accused.

The fourth incident took place in Kathozai area where a man killed his father named Gul Baz. The police registered case against accused on the compliant of Sajda, wife of the deceased.

In yet another incident in Mandazai area, assailants opened fire on 20-year-old Hamdullah and his father when they were sitting in their gur factory. As a result, Hamdullah got killed on the spot while his father narrowly escaped.
