KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian palm oil futures edged higher in early trade on Thursday, tracking strength in soyoil on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), before trimming the gains to trade flat by the midday break.
The benchmark palm oil contract for July delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange was flat at 2,408 ringgit ($619.50) a tonne at the midday break. It earlier rose as much as 0.7 per cent to 2,424 ringgit. Trading volumes stood at 7,049 lots of 25 tonnes each at the midday break.
