PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has reshuffled 12 police officers, including capital city police officer, and appointed Qazi Jamilur Rehman as the new head of Peshawar city police.

A notification issued from the Central Police Office said here on Tuesday that Qazi Jamilur Rehman (PSP BS-20), serving as DIG Special Branch, KP, had been transferred and posted as capital city police officer, Peshawar. It said that city police chief Mohammad Tahir Khan (PSP BS-20) had been transferred and posted as DIG Special Branch, KP.

Regional police officer, Kohat, Awal Khan (PSP BS-20) has been transferred and posted as DIG finance, procurement. He has also been assigned to look after the work of DIG traffic, KP. Counter Terrorism Department DIG Mubarak Zeb (PSP BS-20) has been ordered to report to the CPO.

Commandant of Frontier Reserves Police (FRP) Mohammad Ijaz Khan (PSP BS-19) has been transferred and posted as RPO Kohat, while DIG finance, KP police, Mohammad Saleem (PSP BS-19) was transferred and posted as DIG CTD, KP.

DIG traffic, KP, Tahir Ayub Khan has been transferred and posted as commandant of FRP. The notification said that Irfanullah Khan (PSP BS-18), awaiting posting at CPO, had been appointed AIG establishment, KP police; Zaibullah Khan (PSP BS-18), director Forensic Science Laboratory; Sajjad Khan (PSP BS-18), SSP operations CTD; Masood Ahmed Khalil, SP training CPO; and Abdul Saboor Khan was appointed as district police officer, Shangla.
