LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has closed down 32 treatment centres of quacks in different parts of the city during the last two days.

A spokesperson said on Tuesday the businesses of 19 general quacks, nine fake dentists, three hakeems and one bone-setter were sealed.

The sealed centres of quacks posing as general physicians were: Umer Medical Store, Danish Medical Centre, Khursheed Homeopathic Clinic, Nadeem Medical Store and Clinic, Abu Badar Shaheed Free Dispensary, Abdul Razzaq Shoaib Clinic, Bannu Hijama Centre, Al-Hijama Cupping Centre, Rashid Clinic, Markaz Physiotherapy, Aziz Clinic, Masha’allah Hijama Centre, Abdul Qadir Free Dispensary, Shafi Memorial Hospital & Maternity Home, Al-Amal Welfare Dispensary, Abdullah Clinic, Ghulam Mustafa Clinic, Al-Noor Clinic, Arif Clinic and Ahmed Clinic.

The fake dentists were Abid Dental Clinic, Ijaz Dandan Saz, Ahmed Dental Clinic, Arsalan Dental Clinic, Shad Dental Clinic, Yaqoob Dental Clinic, Aslam Dental Clinic and Mian Dental Clinic. The businesses of Aza Band Haidery Shifa Khana, Al-Saudia Tibbi Foundation and Matab Al Khair and bone-setter, Al-Shifa Hadi Jorr, were also sealed.
