KARACHI: The annual elections of the district bodies of the Sind Muslim League have been completed throughout the province. At all meetings, the demand for Pakistan was reiterated and implicit confidence in the leadership of Mr. Jinnah was recorded. The Government was urged to adopt without delay and without fear or favour from any community the ameliorative measures already drafted, such as the Land Alienation Bill and the Muslim Educational Cess Bill.

Immediate steps to improve the condition of the Muslim masses were urged.

In Karachi, Mr. M.H. Gazdar, Minister for Home Affairs, has been re-elected Chairman of the City Muslim League. Another Minister, Pir Elahi Bux, was elected President of the Dadu District Muslim League.

[Meanwhile, as reported from London] ten Chinese soldiers are dying of dysentery or malaria for every one dying of wounds, declared Labour Member Mr. F.S. Cocks in the Commons today. He asked if special efforts are being made to send medical aid.

The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mr. Richard Law said that he was unable to confirm these figures but the British Government had long been fully aware of the urgent need of China for all possible medical relief.
