MINGORA: A man and his wife were killed by unidentified persons when they were on way to the district courts here on Saturday.

According to Mingora police, Zeeshan Khan and his wife, residents of Rasha Gatta area, were going to the courts in Saidu Sharif in connection with a case when their vehicle was stopped by some people.

“When the men stopped their vehicle, the man inside it tried to run away but he was shot dead by the attackers. His wife showed some resistance but the attackers also stabbed her to death,” said an eyewitness.

He said that the attackers fled from the scene after killing the man and his wife.

The police said that family of the deceased registered a report against two men, after which they had started searching for the culprits.
