KCR: no progress

Published March 21, 2018

NO progress has been made on the revival of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), because of encroachments. Although the land belongs to the railways, it was never fenced off. Now is the time to fence off all the land that belongs to the railways.

Further, extending the KCR tracks to Gadap and Dhabeji is a good idea. I would urge the Sindh government to take measures to facilitate the restoration of the KCR and remove encroachments on the railways land. The KCR project will create thousands of jobs.
