ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf claimed on Wednesday that another PML-N lawmaker had joined it.

An official PTI tweet asserted that Raza Hayat, a PML-N lawmaker from NA-156, Khanewal, called on party chairman Imran Khan at PTI leader Jahangir Tareen’s residence in Islamabad where Mr Hiraj announced his decision to join the PTI.

However, PTI information secretary Fawad Chaudhary told Dawn that a formal announcement in this regard would be made soon.

When Dawn tried to contact Mr Hiraj on his mobile phone number for confirmation of the news, it was repeatedly found switched off.
