KARACHI: Mubashir Nawaz played a match-winning innings as NCR CET College reached the final of the fifth Bilal Bhaty Inter-school/collegiate T20 cricket tournament after defeating Karachi Grammar School (KGS) by 61 runs at the IBA Ground here the other day.

Electing to bat in the first semi-final, NCR CET College collected 168-8 with opener Mubashir striking 11 boundaries in his 52-ball 67.

KGS, in reply, were bowled out for 107 in 17 overs with skipper Khizer Saqib making 40.

Left-arm paceman Waqar Ahmed captured three wickets for no run in the only over he bowled in the match.

Mubashir was later adjudged man-of-the-match.
