DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A new era of development would begin in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the completion of the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman during his visit to the western route in the Rehmani Khel Yarak area on Sunday.

He discussed various aspects of the western route with project director of the National Highway (NHA), Faridullah Khan.

Maulana Fazl said the western route was a dream and once completed local people would be able do business with the entire world.

He criticised the provincial government for shifting the industrial zone to Rashakai district of Nowshera that was to be set up in Dera Ismail Khan, adding that his party would struggle for the development of the city and would not tolerate injustice.

He said work had been expedited on link roads that would connect Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan with Punjab.
