KARACHI: A man was shot dead in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Saturday night.

According to police, Bilal, 34, was critically injured in an attack by unidentified suspect(s) in DHA Phase-II. He was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Bilal had sustained single bullet wound on his neck, said Dr Seemin Jamali, executive director of the hospital.

Karachi-South SSP Javed Akbar Riaz told Dawn that the victim’s cash and other valuables were not taken away. He was a resident of Allahwala Town in Korangi.

The police were investigating the case and trying to locate relatives of the victim.
