TIMERGARA: The Lower Dir district administration on Wednesday warned of sending the traders to jail if they did not remove encroachments along roads within 12 hours.

The warning was issued by acting deputy commissioner Mohammad Irshad during a visit to Timergara Jail Chowk and Gorgorai Chowk areas.

District nazim Mohammad Rasool Khan, Timergara Tehsil Nazim Riaz Mohammad and other officials also accompanied him.

Talking to journalists on the occasion, Mr Irshad said the administration would start crackdown and send the encroachers to jail if they did not act upon the orders. He also expressed dissatisfaction over traffic mess in the Timergara city and directed the traffic police to take appropriate steps for keeping smooth flow on the roads through all the bazaars.

Also on Wednesday, the Adenzai administration warned LPG dealers to strictly follow the official rate or face action.

This was stated by additional assistant commissioner Aleem Khan Umarzai while chairing a meeting of management of Osakai gas plant and LPG dealers. He said the dealers should sell LPG at Rs120 per kg.

The dealers informed him that LPG was being sold at Rs137 per kg in Swat and Buner districts. However, the AAC after calculating fare and expenses fixed Rs120 per kg rate and asked the dealers to strictly follow it.

Meanwhile, Timergara TMA banned constructions in the city limits without first getting the non-objection certificate.

Talking to mediapersons, TMO Attaullah Khan said the action had been taken on the directives of provincial government. He said notices were also served on several people for constructing buildings and plazas without NOC.
