The DEC said the registration of new votes based on CNICs would continue until the announcement of the election schedule by the chief election commissioner.

The DEC said 122 new blocks were to be created for elections.

He said under per election rules, the political parties were bound to follow the code of conducts.

He asked political parties to let women cast vote of their own free will and said agreements on the disenfranchisement of women would be a violation of election code of conduct leading to the cancelation of electoral exercise.
