KARACHI: As expected, top two seeds Wapda and Army set title clash in the men’s and women’s team events of the 54th National Table Tennis Championship at Islamia Club on Sunday.

In the men’s, top seed Wapda inflicted straight 3-0 defeat on the National Highway Authority (NHA) to set a final date with second seed Army who sent Higher Education Commission (HEC) packing 3-0 in the other semi-final.

Similarly, in women’s, top seed Wapda accounted for Punjab 3-0 while second seed Army carved out 3-0 victory over Sindh in the two semi-finals.

The men’s and women’s team event finals will be played on Monday at 5pm.

Meanwhile, the first round of men’s and women’s singles commenced on Sunday.
