A girl who married against the wishes of her family was allegedly raped by influential members of a panchayat (village council) which was approached for the resolution of the issue in Tandlianwala, Faisalabad.
An application submitted with Tandlianwala police station by the victim's father-in-law says that she married his son out of her own will on October 10. But her father, unhappy with the marriage, approached the local panchayat and demanded the return of his daughter.
The applicant said that he handed over the victim — his daughter-in-law — to two members of the panchayat in the presence of villagers on November 7 on the promise that she will be returned to his home after a proper rukhsati ceremony arranged by her father.
However, three panchayat members repeatedly raped the victim after taking her to their own home and threatened to kill her if she attempted to flee or shout, the application alleges. The victim finally managed to escape on December 12 and reached her husband's home where she informed the family of her ordeal.
The applicant said that the accused threatened his family and his son — the victim's brother-in-law — was briefly kidnapped on December 13 with the intention of murder, a first information report (FIR) of which has been filed separately.

Again one more time, though it may fall on deaf ears, in order for Pak to move forward and make progress , Pak needs to eliminate the 3 isms from the land 1) Feudalism (this is the worst of the three), 2) VIPism (it is there because of Feudalism) and 3) Mullahism (the reason for its existence is Feudalism). So in short, if Pak eliminates Feudalism then the other two will die automatically.
Additionally, Pak needs to establish the supremacy of the law by bringing everyone i.e. Generals, Judges, Feudals, PM, Politicians, Mullahs, Police etc under the purview of the law, so that the justice and punishments are carried out without prejudice. This selective justice system must end where one set of rules and law applies to rich and another for the poor.
These Waderas will never learn until they are meted with the same treatment that they inflict on others. They need to make feel others pain if you want to stop them causing pain on others. Don’t just punish the little guys, catch them too.

There is a need to strengthen our local body system, both in urban and rural areas. Secondly, some of the powers delivered to local panchayat / jirga should be slashed. Parliament and Provincial Assemblies have to do a lot. Simultaneously media enlighten focus on social issues prevailing in our Pakistani Society (Samaj). This rapes happened with consent of her families.

Mr in tribal areas women are in more safe environment. tribal men are more respectful toward women. they are men of honor and traditions.so no need to drag tribal areas in this issue...they are already facing a lot of problems because of this poor thinking of men in power circle...if you are not satisfy with this, do visit public places(parks, shopping malls, public transport and etc) in cities and also visit in tribal areas...compare both. where women are treated better.
