FAISALABAD: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Saturday to have arrested three activists of a proscribed organisation who were allegedly planning to attack the office of an intelligence agency.

A spokesman said the CTD SHO received information that three alleged militants of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were present near Sitara Stop on Sargodha Road. He claimed the militants were going to attack the office of an intelligence agency.

He said a CTD team reached the spot, stopped a motorcycle and arrested three suspects identified as Arif, Qasim and Tahir.

The team seized weapons, including a Kalashnikov, two pistols, four kilo explosives, seven detonators, six meter safety fuse and one motorcycle from their possession.
