Karachi and London

Published December 16, 2017

APROPOS the news report ‘Karachi and London have a lot of parallels’ (Dec 9). The report quotes the mayor of London, Mr Sadiq Khan, as saying that Karachi and London have a lot of parallels.

The only parallel I can see is that both places are two of the several mega-cities in the world.

With respect to corruption, law and order, governance, social security, cleanliness-degradation owing to accumulated garbage and flowing gutters, broken roads, land mafia, clean water issue facing Karachi, there are no parallels with London.
