MANSEHRA: Three people were killed and 11 others injured when an over-speeding van plunged into a ravine in Ponra area of Torghar district on Friday.

The vehicle was on way to Dahree area from Ambar Garhi.

Locals, including MPA Zareen Gul, rushed to the scene and retrieved the injured and shifted them to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced one Nimroz Khan, his granddaughter, Ruksana Bibi, and Mohammad Taib as dead.

Six of the injured were hospitalised and rest were discharged after treatment.

Mr Gul also visited the hospital to enquire after the injured. The Judbah police lodged FIR of the accident and started further investigations.
