KARACHI: Karachi Greens won the all-Sindh Allama Iqbal boxing tournament which concluded at the Begum Nusrat Bhutto Community Hall, Faqir Colony, Orangi Town, on Friday.

Karachi Greens fetched 65 points by securing three golds and two silver medals for the honours.

Karachi Yellow finished runners-up with a tally of 45 points from three golds. Mirpurkhas amassed 35 points by capturing one gold and two silver medals.

Deputy secretary sports Sindh, Shakir Qayyum Khanzada, who graced the finals, gave away the prizes.

MPA from Lyari, Sania Naz, former Olympian Malang Baloch, secretary Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) Asghar Baloch, former international boxers Sher Mohammad, Abdul Khaliq, Nadir Baloch, Imran Shah, Jamil Khan and Saleem Qambrani were also present. The two-day competition was organised by the SBA in collaborateon with the provincial sports department.

Under-14:

34 kg: Muzammil (Karachi Yellow) bt Imran (Karachi Greens) 3-0.

36 kg: Sameer (Karachi Whites) bt Shiraz (Mirpurkhas) 2-1.

38 kg: Jasim (Karachi Yellow) bt Zahid Ali (Mirpurkhas) 2-1.

40 kg: Shahmir (Karachi Greens) bt Gulzar (Larkana) 3-0.

42 kg: Tabish (Karachi Yellow) bt Shahbaz (Karachi Greens) 3-0.

44 kg: Majid Ali (Mirpurkhas) bt Samar (Karachi Whites) 2-1.

Under-16:

46 kg: Shahbaz Jan (Karachi Greens) bt Barkat Ali (Karachi Whites) 2-1.

48 kg: Sajid Rasheed (Karachi Greens) bt Bilal Ahmed (Karachi Whites) 2-1.

Semi-finals:

34 kg: Imran (Karachi Greens) bt Usman (Hyderabad) 2-1; Muzammil (Karachi Greens) bt Tabeel (Sukkur) 2-1.

36 kg: Shirazz (Mirpurkhas) bt Naveed (Benazirabad) 2-1.

38 kg: Zahid Ali (Mirpurkhas) bt Abdul Rehman Qambrani (Karachi Whites) 2-1; Jasim (Karachi Yellow) bt Mohammad Ali (Hyderabad) 2-1.

40 kg: Shahmir (Karachi Greens) bt Usama (Karachi Whites) 2-1; Gulzar (Larkana) bt Mohibullah (Benazirabad) 2-1.

42 kg: Shahbaz (Karachi Greens) bt Shiraz Miskeen (Karachi Whites) 2-1; Tabish (Karachi Yellow) bt Hasan Pappu (Benazirabad) 3-0.

44 kg: Samar (Karachi Whites) bt Shiraz Rana (Karachi Greens) 3-0; Majid Ali (Mirpurkhas) bt Tahir (Benazirabad) 2-1.

46 kg: Shahbaz Jan (Karachi Greens) bt Murtaza (Mirpurkhas) 3-0; Barkat Ali (Karachi Whites) bt Shahbaz (Karachi Yellow).

48 kg: Sajid Rasheed (Karachi Greens) bt Munir Kachi (Karachi Whites) 3-0; Bilal Ahmed (Karachi Whites) bt Ashan (Karachi Whites).
