Spurious medicines

Published November 18, 2017

FAKE medicines are being sold in Turbat without any check. Recently my mother was sick and visited a doctor who prescribed her some tablets.

However, her condition deteriorated after she took those tablets. We finally took her to Karachi and showed the tablets to doctors there who found the medicines to be spurious.

These medicines are manufactured locally but have foreign labels. They are responsible for spreading some life-threatening diseases. When patients do not recover, they hold doctors responsible for being unqualified without realising that they were using fake medicines.

I would like to request the Balochistan government to keep strict a check on pharmacies in Turbat.
