CHARSADDA: A woman was killed allegedly by her husband in the limits of Mandani police station here, police said on Sunday.

The police said that a case was registered on the complaint of the father of the woman on Sunday. The complainant said that her daughter was shot dead by her husband over a domestic dispute.

The complainant told the police that his daughter was married to the accused six years ago. He said that the woman and her husband had strained relations and she was living in her parents’ house. He said that the woman was a student of a university in Peshawar.

The complainant said that his daughter was returning from the university on Saturday evening when her husband opened fire on her. She died instantly. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
