ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Central Power Generation Company Limited (CPGCL) — a public sector generation company — have formally signed an agreement to supply up to 200 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) gas for 1,650-megawatt Guddu Power Station.

Under the agreement, the CPGCL commonly known as Genco-II would receive 200mmcfd with 72.5 per cent “Take or Pay” commitment from PPL’s recently upgraded Kandhkot Gas Field (KGF) in District Kashmore, Sindh to help run the power plant at optimum capacity.

Managing director of PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari and Genco-II chief executive officer Muhammad Ayub Ansari signed the agreement on Tuesday on behalf of their companies.
