CHAKWAL: A woman was shot dead during a fight between two groups in the Dullah Village, the police said on Thursday.

According to the police, Wasi Haider had rented a number of shops from Mohammad Raffique a few years ago. For a few months, Rafique had been trying to vacate the shops but Haider obtained a stay order from a court.

“Raffique and his relatives broke the locks of the shops and threw the goods out which led to a gun fight between the two groups,” said Neelum Police Station House Officer Faisal Manzoor.

He told Dawn 72-year-old Amir Begum, the sister-in-law Rafique, was shot during the fight and that she died on the spot.

“A murder case has been registered against eight accused and Haider is the prime accused but no arrests have been made so far,” h e said.
