MUZAFFARABAD: Eight people, mostly women and children, were wounded in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as Indian troops resorted to heavy shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday, officials said.
“They (Indians) started shelling at about 6.30am, targeting civilian populations in Nakyal sector,” Chaudhry Zulqarnain Sarfraz, Senior Superintendent of Police in Kotli district, told Dawn by telephone.
He said the shelling left eight people wounded in different villages.
