NAWABSHAH: Sindh Tarraqi-pasand Party (STP) chairman Dr Qadir Magsi has strongly criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for, according to him, forgetting the martyrs of Karsaz incident and destroying Sindh.

Talking to journalists at Nawabshah Press Club on Wednesday, he said that during the past 10 years of its rule, the PPP never thought of the martyrs of Karsaz. When the general elections were closer, they thought of organising an “entertainment programme” in Hyderabad and had called Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari there.

He said that like Benazir Bhutto was not the martyr of the PPP only, but of entire Sindh, similarly the 180 Karsaz martyrs belonged to Sindh.

The PPP had completely forgotten the families of martyrs and no one from among their kin were given any job, he said.

He said the education system of Sindh was totally collapsed where the daughter of a former chief minister was “looting funds from international donors and the education secretary was handing over government schools to NGOs”.

The same schools in Shikarpur, Chhachhro, Mithi and other far-flung areas had produced doctors, engineers, commission officer, but now they were being given to private parties, he said.
