KARACHI: Inspired by a superb unbeaten century from Abdullah Khan, Northern Gymkhana trounced National Gymkhana by 145 runs in the latest fixture of the KCCA Zone-VI ‘A’ Division Cricket League at the TMC Ground here on Friday.

Abdullah belted eight boundaries and three sixes in making 106, while S.M. Zafar hit 93 with the aid of six fours and four sixes as Northern Gymkhana collected a hefty 40-over total of 320-4.

Fahad Iqbal, better known as a batsman in the domestic first-class arena, grabbed four wickets to send National Gymkhana reeling for 175 all out in 32.4 overs.

In another match at the KCCA Stadium, Sun CC defeated Paposh Nagar CC by 106 runs. Seamer Mohammad Ibrahim excelled with 5-28 as Paposh Nagar CC were rolled over for 127 in their chase for 234.

In two earlier matches, Northern Gymkhana beat Ravi Gymkhana by 65 runs at the KCCA Stadium while Metropolitan CC beat Late Ismail Jaffer CC by three wickets at the Afza Cricket Ground.
