LAHORE: Both the PML-N and PTI have started spending hefty amounts to buy votes fearing defeat in NA-120 by-poll, alleged PPP candidate Faisal Mir here on Thursday.

He alleged the PML-N was offering Rs5,000 against the PTI’s offer of Rs3,000 per vote in the constituency. He said if both these parties were sincere with the residents of NA-120, they should utilise the money being wasted on their campaigns for the provision of basic facilities to them.

Mir, talking at various corner meetings in the constituency, alleged the PML-N was spending millions of rupees on “fake surveys” to show its popularity in NA-120 whereas ground realities were different.

He said the PML-N was trying to fool the voters once again by chanting empty slogans, adding that no party could win the polls with the help of fake surveys.
