BADIN: Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Mohammad Akhtar Ali trounced Nawab Mubashar Ghumman of Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza group in Ward No 3 of Khoski town committee on Tuesday.

The PPP candidate secured 285 votes against his closest rival Mubashar Ghumman who got over 180 votes, according to unofficial results.

The seat had fallen vacant after the death of Mohammad Asghar Ghumman, the father of Mubashar Ghumman, a few months back.

Dr Mirza and his supporters rejected the election results and alleged that the ruling PPP had rigged the process.
