TOBA TEK SINGH: The bodies of three members of a family who had drowned in the river Jhelum on Tuesday were fished out by Rescue 1122 divers on Thursday.

Later, they were buried in their native village Chak 284-JB, Janiwala.

Baba Pervaiz Khan, his two sons -- Adil and Kamran -- and a relative Jehanzeb had drowned in the Jhelum near Gaziabad while fishing.

The body of Baba Pervaiz was recovered the same day.

SEALED: A team, led by Health Deputy District Officer Dr Abuzar Bukhari and Food Inspector Ishaq Shah, sealed the clinics of 24 quacks during a crackdown in Pirmahal tehsil on Thursday.

An official said the Punjab Healthcare Commission had been informed about the crackdown.

NEW VOTERS: More than 450 new voters are being registered every month in the district by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

This was stated by District Election Commissioner Mian Muhammad Aslam while talking to newsmen on Thursday. He said presently there were a total of 1,095,294 voters.
