ANSEUNG, Korea: Pakistan’s soft tennis team lost to world no 2 side Korea in the1st Asia Cup International soft tennis championship here on Saturday by 2-0.

In the team events, first singles was played between Pakistan’s Muhammad Yahya and Korea’s Chu Myeong Soo. The Korean won the match 4-0.

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan’s soft tennis team won three individual doubles matches against three different countries.

The first part of doubles was played on round robin format. Pakistan’s Eibad Sarwar and Yahya Ehtisham beat Tran Vchin and Ngthay of Vietnam 4-1. In the other contest, Kamran Ahmed and Saad Muhammad Ali beat Chen Suraj and Tym Debendrs of Nepal 4-1.

Sarwar Hussain and Ahmed Ehtisham got a walkover against Harvender Singh and Simran of India.
