THE recent ban imposed on Muslim males as regards divorce (triple talaq) by a non-Muslim majority (4-1) Supreme Court bench of India has raised a couple of questions in my mind.
First, I wonder how this ban will secure the rights of women because imposing a ban will not persuade a man to change his intention of divorcing his wife instead he will be finding many other ways to do so.
Second, knowing the huge number of Muslim population in India how will the law and order agencies implement this ban?
