Flash floods

Published July 25, 2017

FLASH flooding caused by torrential monsoon rains has claimed many lives in Balochistan during the last five days. Roads and bridges have been damaged extensively, affecting thousands of people in rural areas. There is a risk of flash flooding which can cause a colossal damage in many parts of the province if rain comes again.

The disaster management authority and the district administration should be prepared for rescue operations and other relief works in case of emergency.
